Doesn't seem as warm as the old one.

It was nice and big and covered the bed. But even up high, it doesn't feel as warm as my previous electric blanket.

This blanket is very warm

Even on the lowest setting on this blanket, you can get pretty warm. High mode feels like a hot day in the sun in the summer. I've been sleeping under this blanket for a few nights now and it's very lightweight and the wires inside aren't very dominant. It has a nice long power cord, so if your outlet is at the end of the bed or even a little further away, you shouldn't have any problems plugging it in and using it.
